BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Could homeless camps be on the way out of Baton Rouge?

On Wednesday night, the EBR Metropolitan Council considered an ordinance which would clamp down on camping by homeless in public areas of the city.

One line in the ordinance sums up the crux of this ordinance: “It shall be unlawful for any person to camp in a public area that is not designated as a camping area by the city-parish.”
