EBR Schools prepare for the upcoming year with State of the School System address

The East Baton Rouge Schools Superintendent, Warren Drake touted district-wide improvements in his state of the schools’ address.
It was no accident that Drake chose Park Elementary School as the site of his last State of the Schools Address.
After 13 months of work, the new Park Elementary School is just about ready when students return to the classroom.
The new school is twice the size of the old school but was built for an enrollment of 450 students. They are at about 250 student enrollment now but
educators expect a larger enrollment once the school year begins on Thursday.
