BRIDGE CITY, La. (BRPROUD) – Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) confirms that five juveniles were able to get out of a juvenile detention facility.

The escape took from around 2:20 a.m. from the Bridge City Center for Youth.

Law enforcement was immediately notified and a search for the missing juveniles took place.

Six hours after the escape of these juveniles, three are now in custody and two remain on the loose.

OJJ describes the two escapees this way:

  • 17 year old male from East Baton Rouge Parish
  • 16 year old male from Tangipahoa Parish

“The juveniles were entered into the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) database,” according to the Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice.

The search is being run through a command center at the Bridge City Center for Youth.
