EBRP libraries ‘food for fines’ is back through December

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- The East Baton Rouge Parish Library is hosting their food for fines event for members that have late fees on their account. The program will expire at the end of December.

Members can get their library fines waives if they donate nonperishable food items. One can equals $1 off fines.

Food drop off is located at the circulation desk in the libraries.

Participants who don’t owe fines are still welcomed to drop off nonparishable can goods. Last year 8,305 pounds of food was donated to the library.
