BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Library will host its Fourth Annual Mid City Micro-Con on Saturday, Aug. 7 and Sunday, Aug. 8 at its main library, located at 7711 Goodwood Blvd.

Events will last from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Those attending the free event can learn about indie publishing, voice acting and more topics from creators. The two-day event will also feature art from local artists and will include a cosplay contest.

On Sunday, a panel of creators will discuss creative world building and Black history in comics, according to spokesperson Kayla Perkins.
