BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – On the first day of October, the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office received a tip about two people who might be dealing fentanyl and crystal meth.

The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of Kayla Poche, 29, of Baton Rouge and William Chisholm, 30, of Baton Rouge.

After receiving the tip, “agents then conducted one controlled purchase, where an amount of fentanyl was purchased from Chisholm,” according to the affidavit.

The narcotics purchase took place at a home not too far from Antioch Boulevard Park.

Eight days after the start of this investigation, Poche and Chisholm were taken into custody at that home.

The home was then searched and these items were uncovered by agents:

  • 7.8 grams of crystal methamphetamine
  • 20.8 grams of fentanyl
  • 6.9 grams of marijuana
  • Four digital scales
  • Ruger, .380 caliber

The duo was subsequently questioned about their alleged involvement with narcotics.

Chisholm admitted to selling drugs and Poche confessed that she owned the gun and some of the crystal meth which were found in the home.

Due to this being an ongoing investigation, both were released from custody.

Agents then received another tip on Monday, October 24, about Chisholm selling drugs yet again from the same location.

Three days after this information was received, a traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle driven by William Chisholm.

The 30-year-old was arrested and agents then went to the same home where the controlled purchase was made earlier in the month.

Kayla Poche was there when agents arrived at the home.

Poche was taken into custody and agents searched the carport shed which was attached to the home.

More crystal meth and another weapon were allegedly found in Poche’s purse.

Kayla Poche was then arrested at the conclusion of the search.

Poche and Chisholm were booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Friday, October 28.

Kayla Poche:

  • Illegal Carrying of Weapons (with CDS)

William Chisholm:

  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
