Three years ago today is a day that many in Baton Rouge will never forget.

Montrell Jackson, Brad Garafola and Matthew Gerald were killed on Sunday, July 17.

Three others were injured on that day and the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is remembering their sacrifices on this day:

“We will NEVER forget that day and the sacrifices made, but we are not be defined by tragedy. We are defined by the strength, determination, commitment, faith and love of those that gave their lives and by the strong survivors bravely paving the way forward,”
