EBRSO searches for fleeing suspect after stopped in reported stolen vehicle

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect who abandoned a vehicle after it was reported stolen.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 5 p.m., an East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a vehicle that was listed as stolen at an apartment complex in the 11700 block of Nicholson Drive.

The driver of the vehicle reportedly got out and fled from the area on foot. The suspect has not been found at this time, according to the sheriff’s office.
