EBRSO suspends Public Information Director “without pay indefinitely”

The spokeswoman for the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office was arrested for DUI in Alabama.

The arrest happened 10 days ago and on July 25, Hicks was was placed on leave until an internal investigation was completed.

On Tuesday, July 30, Sheriff Sid Gautreaux released this statement regarding Public Information Director Casey Hicks:

In reference to the charges against our Public Information Director Casey Hicks while she was off-duty and out of state last week, I have decided to suspend her without pay indefinitely. No further comments will be made as the legal process is carried out. Mrs. Hicks’ future status with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office will be determined at the conclusion of that process.
