BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – EBRSO Narcotics has been busy helping make arrests lately.
On Wednesday, May 6, an undercover EBRSO Narcotics Agent completed a drug purchase with two men.
Those two men are 29-year-old Casey Harris and 41-year-old Alexis Claiborne.
EBRSO says that “approximately 1.5 pounds of counterfeit methampthemine,” was sold to the undercover agent by Harris and Claiborne.
Narcotics agents found these items as a result of the transaction:
- 659.8 grams/1.4 pounds counterfeit meth
- 9mm handgun with obliterated serial number
- $5,500
Carey Harris and Alexis Claiborne are facing these charges:
Casey Harris:
- 40:971.1 counterfeit narcotics
- 14:95.7 obliterated serial number and 14:95 illegal carry (concealed)
- 14:108 resisting an officer
- 14:67A(b) theft greater than $5,000
- 14:95.1 illegal carrying of a firearm by a convicted felon
Alexis Claiborne:
- 40:971.1 counterfeit narcotics
- 14:95.7 obliterated serial
The EBRSO Narcotics Unit received assistance from EBRSO K-9 and Homeland Security air during this undercover operation.
