ADDIS, La. (BRPROUD) – On the day before Easter, one event is taking over West Baton Rouge for a few hours.
Everyone is invited to Myhand Park in Addis for the Westside Helicopter Egg Drop.
Between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., kids and kids at heart will be able to enjoy many things including those listed below:
- Free food
- Drinks
- Snowballs
- Free spring pictures by Studio-C323
- Real alpacas from Lazy B Alpacas hanging out by the “Fun Field”
- Games and inflatables for the kids
- Helicopter egg drop at 12:30 p.m, weather permitting
- A pavilion with 18 local craft and small business vendors
- Silent auction table
“The vendors will be donating a percentage of their choice to send local children to Kids Camp at Tall Timbers this summer,” according to the Church at Addis.
After the eggs are dropped, the hunt for easter eggs will be divided as follows:
Super special hunt area (special needs) with volunteers
5 and under hunt area
6 and up hunt area
The Church at Addis is hosting and many local businesses are scheduled to attend this one time a year event.
The church is happy to invite children with disabilities to the Westside Helicopter Egg Drop.
“Church at Addis is excited to announce that this year it will be inclusive for all kids, no matter what challenges they face. Children with disabilities will be welcomed with open arms and will have their own designated area to egg hunt with the help of excited volunteers. The parking team will also be ready to assist with close parking for these families. The dream to include children with special needs in on the fun was able to come to life through the partnership with Arc Iberville.”
