Family continues 16-year tradition at Southern Homecoming

BATON ROUGE, La. (LOCAL 33)(FOX 44)- Homecoming on The Bluff draws in hundreds of Jaguar fans every year, each with their own traditions and rituals.

Kesha Neal, a former Southern Jag, says her family’s flirtation with home game tailgates is a love affair that runs 16 years deep.

“Almost like fellowshipping at church,” Neal said. “We come out here every home game and enjoy each other’s company and cook.”

Tailgating preparation starts weeks in advance for Neal’s family. She prepares most of the food herself and the rest of the logistics is handled by the rest of the family.
