BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A Baton Rouge native rapper is back for his annual bash. Torence Hatch Jr., better known by his stage name, Boosie, says the concert will be bigger and better this year.

“This weekend represents talent, love, and unity,” explained Brittany Green. The Fourth Annual Bossie Bash is expected to be the biggest ever – bringing fans from all over the south. “You have eight age ranges from, you know, 18, 21 to 40, 50, 60, like that’s just how deep the love for Booise runs in the Southern community,” Green continued. A huge Boosie fan who wanted to stay anonymous, tells me that she has been a fan of his since she can remember. His music inspires her. “You can be going through the worst day you put on a track and, you know, it’ll just kind of take all that away,” she explained.

She is not the only one. Thousands are expected to attend the two-day weekend event. Featuring special guests like Kodack Black, and many more. “Rob49, from New Orleans as well as Juvenile I’ve been a hot girl since 1999 so, yeah,” laughed Kasia Dizer, Baton Rouge resident.

Production crews are already setting up for the major event. Fans say this bash not only brings the community together but it’s also about celebrating good music.

“Everybody’s just here to sing the lyric and rap,” continued Dizer. Green agreed, “He really brings the city out and he brings everybody together. You got to love that and it’s always a great time.”
