BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – First responders with the St. George Fire Department rushed to the scene of a blaze in a residential area off Antioch Road on Monday (September 19) night.

This occurred while their crews were still in the process of responding to another fire off Hoo Shoo Too Road.

It was 7 p.m. when firefighters were called to a house fire on West Lake Terrace Drive, which is off Hoo Shoo Too.

They were able to get the blaze under control within 12 minutes.

Officials say no one was hurt in this incident and an investigator is still working to determine the cause of this blaze.

But as crews were still on the scene, they were called to the 7200 block of Members Street, which is in the Antioch area, for assistance with a second fire.

According to St. George, no injuries occurred at the Members Street blaze.

However, as of 8:40 p.m., firefighters are still on scene and they’re asking that drivers avoid the area for the time being.
