Florida woman who bit camel to escape speaks out about accusations

News

Tonight, we are hearing from the woman involved in a strange encounter with a camel in Gross Tete.

68-year-old Gloria Lancaster says she admits to biting the 600-pound camel after it sat on her.

This happened in the camel’s enclosure at Tiger Truck Stop.

Lancaster says she ended up with some broken bones and punctured lungs from the incident.

She says the bite was a measure of the last resort.

“He was sitting on my whole body but he had my arms pinned and I couldn’t do anything but somehow or another God always makes a way of escape and his testicles were in my face and I bit them and he jumped off of me.”

Lancaster says she and her husband deny having thrown dog treats into the camel’s enclosure.

She was cited for not leasing her dog but says the truck stop’s management could’ve done a better job securing the camel’s enclosure.
