‘Forgotten Men Project,’ sheds light on those who have served ‘extreme sentences’

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A member of the Louisiana Parole Project is speaking at the Baton Rouge Press Club on Monday.

Executive Director, Andrew Hundley is the guest speaker on October 25.

According to the Press Club of Baton Rouge, Hundley “will discuss the organization’s work on behalf of persons who have served extreme sentences and the newest initiative, the Forgotten Men Project.”

The latest Facebook post by the Louisiana Parole Project shows a man named Lester trying Starbucks after serving 57 years in prison.

The Press Club of Baton Rouge says that “The nonprofit organization has helped more than 200 men and women who spent decades in prison rebuild their lives.”

The Press Club meeting is taking place at Drusilla Seafood Restaurant.

Hundley is scheduled to begin speaking at 12:15 p.m.

If you plan to attend, the Press Club asks that you wear masks except when you are seated at your table.
