The suspect ran away and police are still looking for him

STRUTHERS, Ohio (WKBN) – A four-year-old child is dead after being shot and killed in Ohio early Monday morning. Four additional people were injured with gunshot wounds, according to Struthers police. Police said one victim remains in critical condition.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. just outside of Youngstown in northeast Ohio. The city’s population is less than 11,000 according to the most recent information from the U.S. Census.

Police told WKBN-TV that a manhunt is underway after the suspect fled the scene. The only description provided is that the suspect is male. No other details were provided.

Police said they believe the incident was not a robbery attempt because no items appear to be stolen from the scene.

The Youngstown Police Department was called in to assist with the investigation.
