St. Thomas More school hosts ‘Monday’ Night Football

FOX 44

A longstanding tradition on the St. Thomas More campus played out in front of a packed crowd on Tuesday night, one day after strong storms rolled through the Baton Rouge area.

‘Monday’ Night Football kicked off a day late but with beautiful weather for a backdrop.

According to STM Athletic Director Mark Fournet, 2019 marks the 13th straight year of MNF on campus and just the second time the date was moved due to mother nature.

The event featured the St. Thomas More 5th and 6th grade team in action followed by 7th and 8th grade team under the bright lights. It was open to the public and featured plenty of food, fellowship and football.

Several STM 8th grade students also had the opportunity to cover and report on the game as part of the school’s Sports Journalism Enrichment Course.
