Community Bike Ride and School Supply Giveaway

In an effort to promote healthy lifestyles, educate the community about bike safety, and have an inclusive event for the members of our community to enjoy, CRK Safety is hosting a District 5 Community Bike Ride Monday afternoon and evening.

This will be a fun-filled event during which participants will learn bike safety and enjoy a ride to music. Once participants return, there will be a school supply giveaway at the Charles R. Kelly Community Center.  

You can participate individually or with a group. Please contact Keshala B. Jackson at kbjackson@brla.gov or 225-389-5464 to reserve a bike and to register your participation. 

The event is FREE and open to the public for ALL ages! 

WHAT:  BACK-2-SCHOOL COMMUNITY BIKE RIDE

WHO:   Hosted by the Charles R. Kelly Community Center in partnership with Councilwoman Erika L. Green, Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, Reaching Our Dreams Foundation, Move with the Mayor, Entergy, Attorney Wendell C. Woods, Healthy BR and the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.

WHEN:  August 5, 2019 4pm-6pm

WHERE:  The route will be roundtrip.
