BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Research shows men are less likely to go to the doctor than women. Men are also more likely to skip health screenings and ignore health recommendations from their primary doctor.
The Louisiana Leadership Institute and CareSouth are teaming up to host a Men’s Health Expo in Baton Rouge. The expo will offer men of all ages free health screenings for prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, blood pressure, cholesterol, blood glucose and more.
The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 18th from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Louisiana Leadership Institute, 5763 Hooper Road.
The expo is being held in conjunction with National Men’s Health Awareness Month which is this month.
