BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Freshman students at Tara High School are being recognized for their remarkable improvement.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish School System, 9th-grade students have completed a milestone by being recognized as the number one class in the country for on-track improvement.
The parish school board will be honoring the students with a celebratory event at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at Tara High School.
“This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of our students at Tara High School,” said Dr. Sito Narcisse, EBR Superintendent. “We are incredibly proud of our 9th-grade students for their exceptional on-track improvement, and we look forward to celebrating their accomplishments at this event. It showcases the dedication of our educators and the collaboration between our community partners, Stand for Children Louisiana and the Center for High School Success, in creating a nurturing environment for student success.”
