The political action committee FuturePAC released endorsements for candidates in runoff elections throughout the nine-parish Capital Region.

The list of candidates includes previously endorsed candidates heading to a runoff and a new endorsement in the House District 70 race.

“These candidates have committed to policies that will move our economy and our community forward,” FuturePAC Chairman of the Board Ric Kearny said. “As we enter the final phase of the 2019 election cycle, it’s vitally important that we elect candidates that embrace real solutions, and will provide real leadership for our region.”

The group endorsed Franklin Foil of District 16 for the Louisiana State Senate.

It endorsed Leah Cullins of District 67, Larry Selders of District 67, Scott McKnight of District 68, Barbara Freiberg of District 70 and Brandon Trosclair of District 88 for the state House of Representatives.

It endorsed Ronnie Morris of District 6 for the Board of Elementary and Secondary Education and Trae Welch of 19th judicial division as a judicial candidate.

The election will be on November 16. Early voting will begin November 2 and end November 9.
