BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Members of the Baton Rouge Police Department were asked to investigate a suspicious person on Elizabeth Dr. last week.
Officers were told that someone was allegedly trying to get into people’s homes.
That person was identified as Kentrell Diggs, 30, of Baton Rouge.
Diggs was located by officers when they arrived at the scene.
The Baton Rouge man was apprehended and put into a BRPD vehicle.
The investigation ensued including the interviewing of three separate witnesses on Elizabeth Dr.
The first witness said that Diggs made it into her home and was standing in her kitchen when she told her husband to “get the gun, get the gun,” according to the affidavit.
Diggs is said to have left the home quickly after that.
The second witness stated that Diggs was seen in his backyard.
The affidavit states that “Diggs attempted to make entry into the residence through the rear porch door that was locked.”
The resident confronted Diggs who eventually left the home after attempting to hide behind a shed.
The final witness shared that she saw Diggs through a window.
The woman allegedly “asked Diggs who he was and what he was doing looking at the windows,” according to the affidavit.
The witness said Diggs attempted to get into her mom’s locked vehicle before leaving the scene.
Diggs was taken to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison and charged with Unauthorized Entry Of An Inhab. Dwelling, Attempted Unauthorized Entry Of An Inhab. Dwelling and Peeping Tom.
