BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The City of Baton Rouge wants public input on a project that impacts one of the largest communities in East Baton Rouge Parish and has a proposed budget of $30,000,000.
Local leaders with the City of Baton Rouge are using Thursday evening to share project details with the public during a 5:30 p.m. open house at the Greenwell Springs Library.
All members of the public are welcome to attend the Open House where they’ll be able to view conceptual images of the proposed improvements and ask questions.
The Sherwood Forest Extension plan aims to connect Sherwood Forest at Greenwell Springs to Joor Road. Project organizers say it will include a new two-lane roadway with shoulders and open ditch drainage.
A design study that included hydraulic analysis, traffic analysis, as well as a survey and corridor study began in January. At this point, officials are ready for public input.

The meeting details are below.
