BATON ROUGE, La. (WVLA/WGMB) — The #GetTheGat challenge has become a viral sensation, even being retweeted by President Donald J. Trump.

Sophomore LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is responsible for the original tweet, which shows a handful of football players dancing to the 1992 bounce song, ‘Get the Gat’ by Lil Elt. The man who founded the #GetTheGat challenge however is Shawn Taylor, a LSU student and New Orleans native.

Taylor goes by the name ‘Subtweet Shawn’ on social media and was quick to notice the original Oval Office #GetTheGat video featuring Gemi Borderlon.
