BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – A new McDonald’s is coming to Baton Rouge and it is located within five minutes of LSU’s campus.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is scheduled to mark the addition of the ‘Golden Arches’ at the corner of Burbank Dr. and Lee Dr.

“McDonald’s owner/operators, EJ and Chris Krampe will be joined by local and state dignitaries for a ribbon cutting ceremony, on April 26th, 2022 at 9:00a.m.,” according to McDonald’s USA.”

McDonald’s is offering more than just food and jobs to the LSU community.

The fast-food company offers tuition assistance to its employees who are in college.

“We are proud of our continued growth in the Baton Rouge market and look forward to serving the LSU community with a brand new and very accessible McDonald’s restaurant in the heart of LSU Tiger Country.” says EJ Krampe.

Colleges are not the only educational institution that is supported by McDonald’s.

Liberty High School is expected to receive a donation during the ribbon cutting ceremony.
