Gonzales restaurant to host a give back event for slain LSU student

GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) — Walk-On’s restaurant set to host another Allison Rice give-back event on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

LSU senior student Allison Rice, 21, of Prairieville, was found shot to death in her car after a shooting over a year ago on Government Street.

To remember Rice, Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux in Gonzales is donating 10% of proceeds from sales orders made in-store to the Live Like Allie Foundation, the restaurant posted to social media. The event will last the entire business day.

Inflatable bounce houses will be available for children to enjoy while the event is happening.

Police have not yet identified a motive or suspects in Rice’s case.
