The rain has closed one of the area’s yearly traditions for one day.
The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair released this statement:
Due to the inclement weather the Greater Baton Rouge State Fair will remain closed today.
The fair officials will spend the day getting the grounds in condition to reopen tomorrow.
We hope everyone will come out Sunday and enjoy the fair.
We will let you know as soon as we find out whether the State Fair is open on Sunday.
