BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) – The Gridiron Show is back after a two-year hiatus and not having a show since 2019 while also celebrating its 70th year!

The show is a series of skits and songs written by current and former reporters who at least one time in their lives wrote news stories about the happenings in state government. Since 1952 the Capital Correspondents Association has been satirizing the ins, the outs, and the foibles of Louisiana government and politics.

Proceeds from the show go to support journalism scholarships for students at Louisiana State University-Baton Rouge, Southern University-Baton Rouge, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and/or Southeastern Louisiana University.

Tickets are $30 each and seats are available at tables that seat ten. You can buy one or two seats – or all ten.

The show is at the American Legion Post 38 at 151 Wooddale Boulevard, near Airline Highway.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:45. Tickets are available online through
