The Zachary Police Department has provided a picture of Welton “Wic” Pierce’s truck.

ZPD is “asking businesses and citizens to check their cameras to see if we can possibly get a direction of travel.”

ZACHARY, La. (LOCAL 33) (FOX 44) — Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a missing man with dementia and a heart condition.

Welton “Wic” Pierce was last seen Sunday morning at around 8:30 a.m., when he left his home on Old Scenic Highway in Zachary.

Pierce is 5’11” and weighs about 200 pounds. He has gray hair and hazel eyes.

Authorities say Pierce was driving a white 2002 GMC pickup truck — with the Louisiana license plate W144768. Relatives tell police he did not bring his cell phone or medication with him.

Pierce’s relatives say the 81-year-old’s direction of travel remains unknown.

Anyone with knowledge of Pierce’s whereabouts are asked to call the Zachary Police Department at 225-654-9393.
