Helmet cam video shows speeding motorcyclist taunt deputies, slam into car

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office has released a shocking video to warn motorcyclists of the dangers of driving recklessly.

Ryan Decubellis, 21, had his helmet camera rolling on Jan. 30 when authorities say he and four other motorcyclists started speeding on U.S. 19.

A video shows Decubellis fly past two Pinellas deputies driving fully marked cruisers.

Moments later, a vehicle pulls out in front of him to make a left turn across the highway. The video shows Decubellis crash his Suzuki motorcycle into the front of the car and tumble onto the roadway.

Decubellis suffered serious injuries and was taken to Bayfront Health Hospital. He has since been released.

The other driver suffered minor injuries.

Decubellis later pleaded guilty to reckless driving with property damage, personal injury and no motorcycle charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
