BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)- With inflation on the rise, many people are having to cut corners this year, especially during the holidays. In an effort to bring holiday cheer to students in the area, East Baton Rouge Parish School System’s is holding their annual Adopt an Elf campaign.

Inside the district’s central office, a special tree sits in the lobby with several elf cards hanging on its limbs.

The cards represent students in the district that are classified as either homeless, in transition, or just in need.

The school board is hoping to provide nearly 300 kids a wish this, and you can help.
