Hemp health boutique coming to Baton Rouge

News

Aurora CBD Hemp will be the first Baton Rouge store opening up Monday selling products derived from hemp. Located at the corner of Airline Highway and Highland road.

It’s not a smoke head shop or dispensary, Hunter Poiencot, marketing and operations manager described it as a health boutique.

“None of our products come from marijuana, we have full line of skin care products, body lotions and massage oils as you would use everyday products,” said Poiencot.

They also have tinctures, candy, and dog treats. Everything is also legal to buy.

“Federal law says anything under 3% THC is legal,”said Poiencot.

There products are derived from hemp, which has trace amounts of THC. CBD is the non-psychoactive component of cannabis and hemp. Poiencot said it helps with anxiety relief, depression, pain and joint relief and muscle care.

89-year-old, Louis Clement, showed up Sunday interested in a product to keep him movin’ and shakin’ for his age.

“I think it will Lubricate your joints, and make you move faster or whatever you know haha,” said Clement.

Poiencot believes in his product, after describing an experience in their other store in Houma.

“We’ve had an instant in shop, where a parent with her son gave him drops under his tongue and stopped the seizure,” said Poiencot.
