Thibodaux police arrested a Houma man Sunday who racked up five charges after allegedly leading police on a car chase.

Keilon Howard, 27, allegedly failed to stop when a Thibodaux officer tried to pull him over for an equipment violation. City police said Howard drove erratically and committed several traffic violations as he tried to evade officers.

As Howard left the city limits, he allegedly threw 2.4 pounds of marijuana from the window of his vehicle.

Howard later stopped his vehicle and told police he didn’t initially stop because he was “high on Mojo,” a term used for synthetic marijuana.

He faces charges of aggravated flight from an officer, driving without a license plate, operating a vehicle on a suspended license, having no license issued and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
