High school students to shadow various law enforcement services on Feb. 6

Government affairs and law program student from Scotlandville High School will participate in a job shadow day at the State Police Headquarters on Thursday, Feb. 6.

According to East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, 25 students will spend the day shadowing the Violent Crimes Unit, BRPD Major Assaults and Homicide Division, Crimestoppers, Criminal Investigation Unit,  and ATF. Students will learn about the various roles as it relates to their coursework. 

“Scotlandville High’s Job Shadow DatDay began with the High School Engineering Academy as an internship preparation activity and the school is now expanding the opportunity to the Law Academy,” said a recent press release.
