CENTRAL, La. (BRPROUD) – The Central Police Department responded to a two-vehicle crash on Wednesday, December 7.

The crash took place around 3 p.m. on Greenwell Springs Rd. and it involved a Chevy Impala and Toyota Highlander.

CPD said that a male driver in the Chevy Impala rear-ended the Toyota Highlander.

The driver of the Impala turned himself into police three days after the accident.

That person was issued a summons for Careless Operation and Following to Close.

The Central Police Department highlighted that the driver of the Impala may have not been caught without the help of a Flock LPR camera.

CPD says that the responding officer “was able to locate a license plate, which led to the registered owner’s address.”

The officer also figured out the make and model of the vehicle which was allegedly at fault through evidence compiled at the crash scene.
