HOPE Ministries distributed Christmas toys for around 400 children and holiday meals for more than 100 North Baton Rouge families Tuesday.
HOPE also has a Client Choice Food Pantry, which is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, that encourages clients to shop at the pantry with dignity and select food that best meets their needs. The pantry has fed more than 12,700 people from the 70805 zip code in 2019 alone, according to HOPE Ministries.
HOPE’s Christmas Place Store is open each year, and food pantry clients are able to shop for Christmas toys for the children in their households. Volunteers provide gift wrapping stations at the store.
HOPE’s mission is to prevent homelessness and promote dignity and self-sufficiency.
