CINCINNATI, Ohio (BRPROUD) – After a rough preseason for Ja’Marr Chase, #1 came through for the Bengals in week one of the NFL season.

At one point in the preseason, Chase dropped four straight passes and the questions followed about the first round pick.

When asked about his preseason troubles, Chase said this, “The ball is different because it is bigger,” Chase said. “It doesn’t have the white stripes on the side so you can’t see the ball coming from the tip point so you actually have to look for the strings on the ball at the top, which is hard to see because whole ball is brown and you have the six strings that are white. But for the most part, just have to get used to it and find out what I am comfortable with catching.”

Well, I guess Chase is comfortable now as the former LSU Tiger caught five passes for 101 yards and one touchdown in his first game as a pro.

The Bengals pulled out a close victory in overtime against the Vikings, 27-24.

After the game, Burrow followed Chase in front of the media and left everyone with this mic drop moment:

The Bengals head to Chicago for a matchup against the Bears on September 19.
