Inmate at EBRSO Parish Prison accused of running narcotics distribution operation from jail

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Investigators believe that 37-year-old Francisco Pellerano did not stop selling drugs while in jail.

Agents concluded after an investigation that Pellerano “was continuing to operate a street level narcotics distribution operation while he is incarcerated at the EBRSO Parish Prison.”

So who was running the operation from the outside?

Investigators think that 18-year-old Sereen Shakhashiro executed everything for Pellerano.

According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, “Shakhashiro is the suspect that Agents identified as the individual that Pellerano was directing to store and sell his narcotics over the phone.”

Shakhashiro was arrested at 2246 Brightside Dr.

That address is where a search warrant was executed by EBRSO Narcotics Agents on Thursday, August 5.

These were the items seized during the search:

  • 12.16 ounces of cocaine (approx. street value $12,160)
  • 1.27 ounces of MDMA (Ecstasy)
  • 6 vials of Testosterone
  • 4.23 ounces of marijuana
  • 3 THC Cartridges
  • 3.6 ounces of Marijuana Edibles
  • $1,005.00 (pending seizure)
