NEW ORLEANS, La. (BRPROUD) – The Mercedes-Benz Superdome is no more.

The name change became official after a Thursday morning vote by the Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget.

The home stadium for the New Orleans Saints is on its way to being called the Caesars Superdome.

The Joint Legislative Committee on the Budget approved “the 20-year naming rights deal without objection,” according to Associated Press reporter Melinda Deslatte.

Deslatte tweeted out the contract terms that still need to be completed:

The first home game for the New Orleans Saints is on September 12 versus the Green Bay Packers.
