Jones Creek Regional Branch Library to have closures due to construction

News

The Jones Creek Regional Branch Library, located at 6222 Jones Creek Road in Baton Rouge, will be closed Dec. 10 through Dec. 12 due to construction to make the library’s newly renovated area ready for patron use.

The branch is expected to reopen with normal hours from from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Dec. 13.

Once the new area is open, other portions of the library will be closed for the next phase of renovations, including updates and repairs to public restrooms. This construction phase is projected to begin this month.

The library will provide temporary ADA-accessible restrooms that will be located outside the main entrance.

The electronic return option will be open during the renovations, and patrons will have access to a temporary borrowed item drop. People returning DVDs, BluRays, Playaway Views or other “limited checkout” materials are encouraged to return them at the Circulation Desk to ensure their accounts will be immediately clear and ready to borrow new items.

For more information about the temporary closures, call (225) 756-1150.
