Juvenile expelled after possible threat prompts lockdown at area schools, FBI among those investigating


PORT ALLEN, La. (BRPROUD) – The Port Allen Police Department is still investigating a possible threat that was recently made against Port Allen Middle School.

Port Allen PD received a call around 7:30 a.m. on October 7 about this ‘possible threat.’

According to the Port Allen Police Department, “All area schools were immediately placed on lockdown, and all games for Port Allen Middle School for the evening were cancelled and rescheduled.”

Investigators identified a juvenile suspect who was subsequently expelled from school.

Port Allen PD confirms the student is under the age of 13.

The West Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police and FBI are assisting the Port Allen Police Department with this investigation.

Port Allen Middle School is located at 610 Rosedale Rd.
