AMELIA, La. (BRPROUD) – Sandi Ann Leone Dominguez, 38, of Erath, La., was arrested after a recent traffic stop on U.S. 90.

On Sunday, October 23, a traffic violation led a deputy with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office to request that the vehicle stop.

Domiguez was found to be the driver of that vehicle and the deputy questioned the Louisiana woman.

Following that, a K-9 came in to search the vehicle for any controlled dangerous substances.

A positive result from the open-air sniff led to a search of the vehicle.

“A search of that vehicle resulted in the seizure of heroin, methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia,” according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Dominguez was put into the Assumption Parish Detention Center after her arrest and charged with the crimes listed below:

  • Possession of Heroin
  • Possession of Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Speeding – 85 MPH in a 70 MPH Zone

Bond has been set for Sandi Ann Leone Dominguez.
