Kennedy: Medicare for all will never pass in the Senate

News

Senator John Kennedy is taking part in the conversation about providing affordable healthcare.

The Senator told the Baton Rouge Press Club Monday, he hopes the Democratic led House and the Republican controlled Senate can come together and provide some meaningful legislation.

Senator kennedy does not agree that medicare for all, an idea embraced by many of the democratic presidential candidates, is going to be well received in the senate.

“That dog don’t hunt in the senate, it’ll nver pass in the senate, and everybody knows that. I wish we could get it off the table and really sit down and try to seriously negotiate something but I don’t see it happening until the election is over,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy also talked about his legislation that would prohibit nondisclosure agreements in sexual harassment suits. He said victims should be allowed to talk. Kennedy says he believes that bill will pass.
