BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) ––– Dedicated to inspiring children to learn through play, the Knock Knock Children’s Museum is giving adults a turn at some fun with its annual Storytime Soiree Thursday evening.

The Soiree is one of the few times adults can visit the museum without a child. It features live entertainment by Werewolf, dancing, grown-up games, a silent auction, gourmet food, and an open bar with a specialty cocktail. This year’s theme is Mary Poppins, and while it’s not required, participants are encouraged to dress up.

Funds from the Soiree go toward the museum’s programming, outreach, and educational initiatives. “Every year, we raise 60% of our operating expenses through our fundraising activities, so this is a very important event for us,” said Knock Knock Museum Executive Director Christina Melton.

Storytime Soiree is Thursday, November 3, from 6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. at the Knock Knock Children’s Museum, located at 1900 Dalrymple Dr.
