BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Knock Knock Children’s Museum has announced that the museum is moving toward re-opening, but not before Gov. Edward’s Phase Two guidelines are released on June 4.

“We were excited to hear that Louisiana is making tremendous strides in fighting COV-19 allowing Governor John Bel Edwards to announce the state is moving from Phase 1 re-opening to Phase 2 on Friday, June 5, 2020. This is great news for Knock Knock because we will soon be able to re-open. But for now, we remain closed, ” said Knock Knock Children’s Museum Director of Marketing and Communications Jimmy Frederick. “Our decision to re-open will be based on the Governor’s Re-opening Guidelines, which we expect to be released June 4, 2020. Once we review all the information, we will make an informed decision and announce our re-opening plans.”

According to officials, this is to ensure the safest course of action in regards to efforts to limit the spread of COVID-19.

“We cannot wait to welcome back children and grown-ups alike to play with a purpose here at Knock Knock,” Frederick said. “While we have been preparing for more than 80 days, we will not rush this decision now. But we are confident we are moving toward re-opening Knock Knock soon.”
