Stolen Mardi Gras Float

LAFAYETTE, La (BRPROUD)- The Lafayette Police Department (LPD) is asking for the public help in locating a stolen Mardi Gras Float that was reportedly taken at the corner of Lucille Avenue.

According to LPD the float was last seen on Friday, Jan. 7 at 5:30 p.m.

Stolen Mardi Gras Float Descriptions:

  • The float is 40ft tall,
  • bright green, and purple with a few (pink butterflies)
  • Double decker
  • The top of the float has two signs located on each side that read “Oliver Sprinklers and Roofing,”
  • The other sign David N. “Meche & Associates.”

If anyone has any information related to the missing float, contact the LPD Crime Stoppers at 232 TIPS.
