Lamar Dixon COVID-19 testing site to remain open following week of testing 414 residents

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – The Office of Homeland Security’s Ascension Parish office announced that the Lamar Dixon COVID-19 testing site will remain open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. until noon.

In the same announcement, the office reported that 414 people were tested at the Lamar Dixon site last week over a four-day span.

The only requirements to utilize the site are that people must be at least 18 and have a valid Louisiana ID.

People are to remain inside their vehicles at the site and self-administer the test, which they will receive the results for in three to five days. Multiple people in the same vehicle can receive a free test.
