LaSTEM Statewide Summit focusing on Louisiana STEM programs

The LaSTEM Statewide Summit is highlighting Louisiana STEM programs on Friday at the Pennington Biomedical Research Center. 

The Governor’s Office said today’s event “will showcase the amazing STEM programs that Louisiana has to offer and bring together regional partners to discuss ways to advance STEM education and careers throughout the state.”

Governor Edwards is speaking at the Summit which runs from  8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Louisiana Economic Development, Boeing, and Dow are sponsoring the Summit and according to the Governor’s Office, today’s event “will feature interactive displays from NASA, the U.S. Army, FIRST Robotics, VEX Robotics, LSU, Nicholls, Tulane STEM, Electric Girls, and the University of New Orleans.” 

The Louisiana Board of Regents provided a rundown of how the Summit will go: 

The Pennington Biomedical Research Center is located at 6400 Perkins Rd.
