LDH releases new coronavirus numbers, 6th death reported



Gov. John Bel Edwards confirms that a 6th person has died due to the coronavirus.

The person who died was a 92-year-old Orleans Parish resident who resided at the Lambeth House in New Orleans, according to the Louisiana Department of Health.


There are new numbers relating to the coronavirus from the Louisiana Department of Health.

As of 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, there are 240 reported cases in the state.

The state lab has completed 597 tests.

13 of the 64 parishes have reported having a case of coronavirus.

A total of 5 people have died from the coronavirus in Louisiana.
